Dear GOD,
I acknowledge you created me (Psalm 139:13-14),
that you have a special plan for my life(Jeremiah 29:11),
that you have prepared in advance good works for me to do (Ephesians 2:10).
I know that you are sovereign (Psalm 103:19),
that no plan of yours can be thwarted (Job 42:2),
that so great is your love toward me, (Psalm 86:13),
that Jesus died on the cross for my sins so that by grace , through faith, I may have eternal life (John 3:16).
I know that you are close to the broken hearted, and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
I acknowledge that apart from you I can do nothing, (John 15:5),
that apart from you and your gifts I have no good things, (Psalm 16:2, James 1:17),
and that I need to always put you first (Matthew 6:33).
By faith, please allow me to give thanks in all circumstances, trusting in your will ( 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18),
by your grace please allow me to grow from suffering to have increased perseverance, character and hope (Romans 5:3-5),
by your mercy please allow me to avoid all thoughts and activities that could bring dishonor to my Lord, my family or me. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13).
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you, my soul thirsts for you (Psalm 63:1),
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, (Psalm 51:10)
By your grace and mercy I pray for a job that brings me satisfaction in my toil, (Ecclesiastes 3:13)
and that I may do with all my heart, as working for the Lord, not for men (Colossians 3:23).
AMEN.
My Heavenly Father, as I enter this work place, I bring your presence with me. I speak your peace, your grace, your mercy, and your perfect order into this office. I acknowledge your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls. Lord, I thank you for the gifts with which you have blessed me. I commit to using them responsibly in your honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy, so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring you glory. Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit.
May the work that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy, and a smile to all that I come in contact with today. And Lord, when I leave this place, give me traveling mercy. Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it.
Lord, I thank you for everything you’ve done, everything you’re doing, and everything you’re going to do. In the name of Jesus I pray, with much love and thanksgiving. Amen
